All About Indian Festival Diwali

   

Diwali is one of the most important festivals of Hindus. Diwali is also called Deepavali, as celebrations focus on lights and lamps, particularly traditional dipa or deeya .This 'Festival of Lights' is one of a major Indian festival. The festival symbolises the victory of good over evil, and it means an array of lights that stands for victory of brightness over darkness. Fireworks are associated with the festival. The celebration continues for three consecutive days at the end of Hindu month of Ashwayuja. It is celebrated in the month of October/November. The festival arrives exactly twenty days after Dussehra.
