Music by: Anu Malik

Hi folks! You can at least breathe with this breeze of fresh air as long as it lasts. Yes, I am talking about CCCC. The Khiladi, Baazigar, Soldier, Daraar director duo have tried their hands at something hatke this time-a family story.Well lets see how do you guys react to the following.

Raj Malhotra (Salman Khan) plays a rich and decent guy (a rare combination). He falls for Priya (Rani Mukherjee) in a friend's marriage ceremony but he thinks she is to be married .A marriage proposal follows from a family and Salman meets the same girl he had fallen for in the marriage- Priya. The two get married and soon Raj discovers that he is going to be a proud father. The entire family is besotted and jubilated. But unfortunately - in a family cricket match - Priya has a miscarriage .The other side of the story follows that Priya can never conceive again. This secret is shared only between Raj, Priya and the doctor .

But as you know what happens in the indian families. All the members are after their bahu to get a chirag for the family. Salman and Rani decide to adopt a child but the grandfather talks about his own grandchild, his aapna khoon and all. So they decide to look for a surrogate mother and as you are right in guessing -it's Priety Zinta (you have to see to believe her) who acts as the surrogate mother. She plays a prostitute and agrees to do the needful in return for money. And what happens after this? You'll have to wait and watch.

Salman has definitely matured as an actor and has been portrayed very well. Priety's role as a prostitute and a change over to a woman has been acted as well as executed very well. Rani is spontaneous and shows a fine performance. Both women look gorgeous. Amrish puri, Johnny, Farida jalal and others lend adequate support.

First half of the film is more interesting. Second half slows down a bit because the story becomes predictable.

Directorially, Abbas-Mustan are undoubtedly good. They have extracted some very fine performances from the actors and some of the scenes are very well executed. But personally they are better with suspense thrillers like Baazigar and Khiladi than with a family drama. Technically the film is good. Effects used in the title track are short but good. Songs for a change are rightly placed and lend adequate support to the story movement.

Music of Mr.AnuMalik is good and the songs had caught on much before the film release. Title track, Mehndi, Deewana Hai Yeh Mann stand out.

The film caters to the family audience, mainly women. With a good publicity and a hype created much before the release it should find acceptance in our audience. Besides there have been no releases till the last week of the month. Lets hope the trio- Salman Priety and Rani manage to hit the bull's eye again. And you guys can definitely go and catch a glimpse of the rainbow before it vanishes. By the way never mind even if it's a remake of a old hindi film Doosri Dulhan
