Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi as the title suggests promises to be a film, which would make you go through all those necessary emotional hiccups - laughter-tears, fun-frolic while entertaining you.

It narrates a tale of a simple and sweet girl, Sweety (Kajol), who lives with her Dad, Raj Khanna (Rishi Kapoor), a rich man but devastated since his wife left him. Sweety has all the material luxuries except parental love.

The Khanna house also gives shelter to Sweety's Aunt (Mita Vashisht) and her son Teddy (Mayur). The mom-son duo along with Aunt's admirer Doctor (Pramod Moutho), keep scheming to take over the Khanna empire.

Flabbergasted at the on-goings, one day Sweety just leaves her home in a huff and flies away. Abroad she surprisingly bumps into her twin sister Tina (Kajol) and their mother Archana (Rati Agnihotri) who had left her husband for a life on her own terms. But does Archana melt on hearing the sad state of affairs back home? Is there any chance for a reunion?

Sameer (Sunil Shetty) plays the suave charming guy in love with Tina and supports her in all the pranks she is famous for. How does he help in reuniting the estranged couple?

While back home the stepsister of Raj (Aunt to Tina and Sweety) gets a long-legged beauty to execute their wicked plans of usurping Raj's wealth. But with Tina and Sweety around do they succeed in doing what they desire?

Well that's what the film is all about. Loads of fun, intense drama and sound performances promises to be its hallmark.

With a vivacious Kajol back at doing what she is most famous for, one can be sure that it shall be worth the wait. And for all those Kajol fans, here she is in a double role! One's a firebrand and another a cool cucumber.

Rahul Rawail, the director who launched Kajol with Bekhudi, makes his presence felt after a long hiatus with a fun film. Although inspired by Parent Trap, what would matter here is its treatment and given Rahul's control over its narration it just might turn out a good wholesome entertainer.
