Sssshhh is a sad take on Hollywood flicks like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend. So here we have Mahek (Tanisha) who lost her father (Nasir Abdullha) and then her sister (Simone Singh) to a psychotic serial killer. To help her get over trauma Tanisha's six friends Rocky (Dino Morea), Sooraj (Karan Nath), Rajat (Gaurav Kapoor), Gehna (Suvarna Jha), Riya (Teena Chaudhary) and Nikhil (Kushal Punjabi) plan a fun trip to Thailand. And what follows is the predictable-the friends get booted out one by one. Sssshhh… is laced with a lot of inconsistencies. For instance, Mahek first accuses of Sooraj for having committed the murders and later she falls in love with him out of the blue. Then there is also a scene where Mahek's bag falls in the college common room. And what we see is six shades of lipsticks and rouge strange considering that she had just lost her father and sister.
Anu Malik's music is okay. Pawan Kaul's has a long way to go as a director. Dino Morea is good in parts. Karan Nath is so-so. Tanisha is good in parts. But has a long way to go before comparisons to Kajol are made. The only person that deserves mention is Hiroo Keswani's camera work.
