The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board conducts State level Pre-Engineering Test MP PET (or PEPT/PAT) for admission to Bachelors in Engineering, Pharmacy, Dairy, Agriculture, and Forestry. The Candidates are eligible for admission to Government Engineering Colleges, Private Engineering Colleges, and Autonomous Institutions in Madhya Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria followed for MP PET 2015 Examination:

  • Candidates should have passed in the main subjects are such as Maths, Physics and Chemistry and it is okay, if they are appearing in such examinations.
  • 12th standard is the eligible educational qualification and it can be done in the Higher Secondary Board of state Madhya Pradesh
  • If candidates are passed any equivalent examination, it is also well and good
  • Candidates those who have passed their final year Diploma in any Engineering branch of state Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education Bhopal are eligible to take up the test
  • Candidates those who have passed their final year Diploma in Rajiv Gandhi Technical University of Bhopal are eligible to take up the test

General eligibility of MP PET 2015 Examination:

  • Candidates must have age eligibility of 21 years in order to take up the entrance test and if candidates come from the Scheduled castes or from the reserved castes, they are given 3 years of age relaxation
  • Only citizens of India are allowed to take MP PET examination
  • Candidates must have studied in all educational institutions of state Madhya Pradesh
  • Candidates should be studied minimum of 3 years in the recognized institutions of state government
  • Candidates must be bonafide residents of state Madhya Pradesh.

Seats Reservation in Government / Aided Colleges:

  • Only for the Madhya Pradesh candidates, 90% of seats are reserved
  • Only 5% of seats are reserved for Outside MP candidates
  • Rest 5% of seats are reserved for the NRI candidates

Seats Reservation in Self-Financing Institutions:

  • Madhya Pradesh candidates are reserved 75% of seats
  • 20% of seats are reserved for outside MP candidates
  • 5% of seats are reserved for NRIs.

Examination Pattern of MP PET Examination:

  • Generally question paper will set up with Multiple Choices of Objective type questions
  • The major subjects are such as Maths, Physics and Chemistry
  • Medium of Instruction will be English
  • 200 questions will be asked in this examination
  • 3 hours will be the total duration given for the applicants
  • The first part will have questions based on the subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
  • Second part of MP PET examination will be optional and it can be any one of the following are such as Physics & Chemistry, Physics & Biotechnology and Physics and Biology. Totally 100 questions will be asked and each part carries 50 questions.
  • Negative mark is not applicable in this examination
