The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination will conduct Joint Entrance Examination for the Session 2014 at Agartala, Udaipur and Kailashahar for admission to Engineering, Medial, Technological and other professional Degree Courses against sets reserved for the State of Tripura (Excluding seats reserved in REC / NITS) including the seats of Tripura Engineering Colleges.

Passed higher Secondary (10+2) of Tripura Board of Secondary Education/CBSE with five subjects or an equivalent examination with 50% (45% for SC and 40% for ST) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for admission.


The application form and the prospectus can be obtained in person / by post from the Chairman, Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination, Tripura Engineering College Campus, Jirania Tripura-799055.
A bank draft of prescribed fee (different for SC/ST and General Categories) should be drawn in favour of Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination, payable at Agartala Head Post Office / a branch of any Bank at Agartala must reach the office of the Tripura Board of JEE, Gurkhabasti, Agartala before the given date. Make sure that you are using the correct application form: (i) a pink envelope for SC/ST and all women candidates, (ii) yellow envelope for other candidates (GE/DS). Only one application should be submitted. Write your address and application number on the acknowledgement card (no postage stamp needs to be affixed). Enclose only an attested copy of the 10th Class or Equivalent Examination Pass Certificate, and the acknowledgement card with the application form in the envelope provided.Retain a photocopy of the application form for future reference.

The duly filled application form along with exam fee, a self addressed stamped envelope of 27X12 cm size should reach by post OR in person at the JEE office of the NT in the zone in which the JEE centres of your choice are located. If you wish to send by post, send by Registered post /Speed Post only. The application must reach the concerned NT on or before the due date. Do not send your application through private courier services. NT will not accept responsibility for any postal delay or irregularity or loss in postal transit. Acknowledgement cards will be posted once your application form is received by the JEE office. If the IVRS fails to indicate receipt of your form, you must check with the JEE Office where you submitted your application.
The Admit Card for the examination will be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post only to those eligible candidates who have submitted valid Application Form, complete in all respects. Successful candidates are required to produce the Admit Card at the time of counselling and admission, it should be carefully preserved till the admission through JEE is completed.


JET consists of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Maths carrying 100 marks each. Each paper is of 3 hours duration, standard of questions in of higher secondary course. Each of the subject of Examination will be of 100 marks. Candidates seeking admission to Engineering / Technological Degree Courses (Group-A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and those seeking admission to Medical / Agricultural Courses, etc. (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Those desiring to take chances in both of the above groups will have to appear in all the four subjects (Group-C). The question of the examination will be framed following the syllabi of Tripura Joint Entrance Examination. Candidate may answer the questions either in English or in Bengali. Selection is made on the basis of merit in the Joint Entrance Examination.
