Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test - Andhra Pradesh (EAMCET )2016

EAMCET 2016: Eligibility

Candidate should be eligible for the respective program in which he / she wants to take admission. The AP EAMCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria is explained in detail in the information brochure, and the same is given in the eligibility page. A few points are highlighted here for your reference.

  • Nationality – Candidates should be Indian national, or PIO / OCI card holder.
  • In order to apply for the exam, one should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and satisfy local / non-local status laid down by the AP / TS institutions.
  • Educational qualification is specified for each course. Depending upon the course which candidate wants to study, subject group requirements (of qualifying exam) are specified. These must also be satisfied.
  • Age limit is also prescribed course wise. Such as the following.
    • MBBS / BDS – Candidate should be at least 17 years old on 31 December.
    • Engineering / Pharmacy – Candidate should be at least 16 years old on 31 December.
