MSET 2014 : Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Aspiring Candidates must have Master’s Degree or equivalent P.G. Diploma (with minimum 55%marks (50% for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates) from an institution recognized by U.G.C.

Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s  degree  (final year)  examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.  However, such candidates will be admitted for the SET Examination provisionally. Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required  percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as disqualified. 

Note: The candidates who are studying in the first year of two years Masters course or in first two semesters of a four semesters course of Master’s Degree are not eligible to appear for this test.

Important: Candidates can appear for SET in the subject of their Post Graduation only. As per the U.G.C. rules the candidates who have passed M.Sc.( by Research) are not eligible  to appear for the SET Exam.

Age Limits

There is no upper age limit for MSET
