Established in 1837, the Madras Christian College is counted amongst one of the oldest institutes of higher education in the Indian subcontinent. Currently, the college is affiliated to the University of Madras, but functions as an autonomous institution from its campus in Tambaram, Chennai. The Institution was built and its character shaped by a host of Scottish missionaries such as Anderson and Miller, Hogg and Boyd. The college shifted to the 365 acre salubrious, idyllic campus with its rare, diverse flora and fauna is a great joy to live in.
