Feng Shui Products: Feng Shui Dragons The Land of Dragons Dragons are an integral part of the Chinese landscape. They can be seen daily, their bodies forming the ups and downs of the mountain ranges, their tails and tongues the rivers. In one sense the aim of Feng Shui is to find the best place to live in the land of dragons; a house should not be built where the dragon is "out of balance". Most of us today don't have the luxury of deciding where to build our house. However we can still use the power and symbolism of the dragon. A well-placed dragon can channel the Chi - the dragon's breath - for your benefit. The Power of Yang Dragons are powerful symbols of yang, the creative, active force often referred to as "masculine". As such the feng shui dragon is seen as a symbol of success and prosperity. Dragons are often associated with the East and some people recommend placing Feng Shui dragons on the Eastern side of the house or room. Since the dragon is such an active symbol, it is not conducive to rest. You should not normally place a dragon in a bedroom unless there is a specific reason to do so. For more information see bedroom feng shui at Here Be Dreams. Chinese dragons are closely associated with the lucky number nine and many dragon based Feng Shi products incorporate the number nine into their design. |
