It’s the day you’ve been waiting for all your life. Ever since you were 16 or 17 maybe. All the planning of every detail, practicing of the ‘I do’ over and over and trying the wedding dress for the nth time. All the practice for this one day.

Are you sure you are not missing out on anything. Beautiful skin perhaps? If that’s not on your itinerary, it better be. And set the alarm prior to the D-day. Not that you need any reminder that beautiful; and glowing skin is the bride’s most admired ornament on her wedding day.

Here’s what the experts have to say. Dr Snehal Sriram, Medical Advisor from Kaya Skin clinic say, “Brides and grooms-to-be should ideally start their beauty and skin care at least 30 days prior to their wedding date.” Here are few must to do’s to look beautiful best when the time comes.

Protect: Protect yourself from stress everyday- both environmental as well as mental. Ensure you spend a good quality time- yoga, pranayam, aerobic exercises for at least 20 minutes a day. Sleep well. A daily sleep of 7 -8 hours is ideal. It’s called beauty sleep for a reason.

Nourish- Eat right. Balance the sweet and heavy food intake by eating fruits and drinking fluids like fresh fruits juices, buttermilk etc. Drink 2-3 litres of water every day and eat 1 and a half tablespoon of flax seed.

Repair: Repair your existing skin damage. Make sure whenever you go out, you apply sunscreen and wash your face with a face wash every time you come back home.

Visit a good skin dermatologist a month prior to your wedding.

So now everything is in place for the most important day of your life, beautiful skin included, all that to say is ‘Happy honeymooning’.
