What Is Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a natural medical system discovered two centuries ago by a German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann. The fundamental principle of homeopathy is based on similia similibus curentur (“like shall be cured by like”) and uses active medicinal substances at infinitesimal doses (micro-doses). For example, coffee consumed before bedtime may cause insomnia, yet a homeopathic dose of coffee induces sleep.

For two hundred years, homeopathy has proved to be effective in treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries, whether physical, mental or emotional. Scientific research showed homeopathy’s efficacy in numerous clinical studies published in prominent medical journals. Homeopathic medicines provide a safe and affordable alternative to over-the-counter medications whose often dangerous side-effects are evident. Homeopathy’s safety and effectiveness makes it especially well suited in the treatment of infants and children.
