Treatment of Dengue Fever In Homeopathy

Saturday, December 29th, 2012

As soon as you feel any of the symptoms written above, have yourself medically checked but remember that every type of fever is not dengue fever. If dengue infection is detected, immediately go for the treatment. Remember that a badly or untreated case of Dengue can be fatal.

Homeopathic treatment is quite effective not only for Dengue fever but also for all other types of fevers. Out of the twelve homeopathic medicines listed above, more commonly used are Aconitum Napellus, Eupatorium Perfoliatum, Gelsemium, Arsenicum Album and Belladonna according to the symptoms but this is not the end. If the symptoms call for it, your homeopath would probably choose yet another medicine. If the disease has already advanced and hemorrhagic state has set in, there are many homeopathic medicines to stop the hemorrhage, which must be chosen according to symptoms of the individual. Using the same medicine in every case may not be a wise option and might result in failure of the treatment.

In addition to the regular treatment, using juice of Papaya leaves can do lot of good and rapidly raise the platelets. If those leaves are not available in your area, you can use fresh apple juice with few drops of fresh lemon. Do not use synthetic juices. There are several other dietary items that can be of help, which your doctor should advise according to the stage of the disease and needs of your body.

There are other home remedies to lower the fever but going by the advice of the doctor should be preferred rather than going for self treatment.

If you are infected with Dengue, consider homeopathic treatment.

Homeopathic Remedies For Knee Pain

Thursday, December 27th, 2012

Homeopathic remedies pose a significant advantage over most over-the-counter and prescription medications in the treatment of knee injuries and pain. The knee is notorious in its ability to heal at a drawn-out pace. Steroid injections and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, while potent in suppressing inflammation and pain, are known to greatly hinder cartilage and joint connective tissue repair.

One of the most common causes of knee pain is the osteoarthritis of the knee joint. This is most common in the old and middle age groups. Osteoarthritis generally affects the weight-bearing joints such as the knee, but it may harm any other joint too.

The pain and the swelling caused by it can result in one?s life getting limited to hardly routine movements.

Homeopathic intervention done at the right stage can give significant relief from pain and swelling. This system of medicine has an edge over the conventional pain killers by providing relief which is not short-lived but has a lasting effect. There is another distinct advantage; it stops further damage to the cartilage thereby controlling the advancement of the disease. Moreover, homeopathic treatment (under professional guidance) does not have any side-effects even if the medicines are used for a long period.

The reservoir of homeopathy benefits is very large.

Homeopathy Has Medicines For Thyroid

Wednesday, December 19th, 2012

Thyroid is one of the body’s most important glands. Thyroid dysfunction is one of the most common clinical conditions seen frequently. Thyroid function influences energy formation, circulation, immune function, the metabolism of all the organs, blood sugar regulation, emotional stability, and hormonal balance.

Your thyroid is a small butterfly-shaped gland, located in your neck, wrapped around the windpipe, and is located behind and below the Adam’s Apple area. The thyroid produces several hormones, of which two are key: triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). These hormones help oxygen get into cells, and make your thyroid the master gland of metabolism. Normally, of all the hormone produced by your thyroid, 80% will be T4 and 20% T3. Once released by the thyroid, the T3 and T4 travel through the bloodstream. The purpose is to help cells convert oxygen and calories into energy. The hypothalamus in the brain releases something called Thyrotropin-releasing Hormone (TRH). The release of TRH tells the pituitary gland to release something called Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). This TSH, circulating in your bloodstream, is what tells the thyroid to make thyroid hormones and release them into your bloodstream.

Homeopathy, a natural system of healthcare, offers a better and safer option for treating thyroid conditions. Homeopathy is a holistic system of treatment that makes use of only natural substances to prepare remedies. Instead of focusing on the disease, homeopathy targets the root cause of the condition and is better suited to provide a permanent cure. Homeopathic remedies are focused more on stimulating the body’s self-healing capabilities. It is for this reason that homeopathy insists on calling its preparation a remedy rather than a medicine.

There are more than fifty homeopathic remedies that can address various thyroid conditions, and there is bound to be one that suits you. The reason for multiple remedies is due to the fact that homeopathic treatment is based on the personality and constitution of an individual. It does not have a ‘one single medicine suits all’ approach.

Homeopathic Remedies For Cough

Monday, December 17th, 2012

Homeopathy is a way of treating sick people with diluted substances instead of medications. Homeopathy is a holistic approach to medicine which relies on the body’s natural power to heal. Each person with a certain health problem will talk to a homeopath for some time. Your homeopath will decide what the best medication for your condition is.

During normal breathing at rest the air travels though the nasal cavities at a speed of 8 km/h. When we cough through the mouth, the air rushes out through the mouth at 120-160 km/h. This causes sudden CO2 losses and the following effects of alveolar hypocapnia (low CO2 in airways): bronchospasm (constriction of airways); irritable state of the cough receptors; and greatly increased mechanical friction in airways due to strong air flow. Later, due to reset in the breathing center, overbreathing and irritation of airways become chronic.

There are various homeopathic remedies for dry cough. Belladonna is used for sudden and intense cough which makes your face red and sweaty. Bryonia is used when cold air enters your lungs, which causes painful and dry cough, and dry mouth. Cough caused by asthma or triggered by some stressful situation, especially in hypersensitive people, is treated with chamomile. Aconitum napellus is used in similar situation as chamomile. The difference is that aconitum napellus is given in early stages of asthma or croup. Ferrum phosphoricum is recommended for short and painful cough caused by a respiratory tract infection or an allergy. For sever and intense cough followed by breathing difficulties or even vomiting, ipecacuanha is the best option. This remedy is also good for asthma attacks.

Thursday, December 13th, 2012

Indigestion and gas can be caused by poor eating habits, emotional tension, food allergies, imbalances in stomach acid or digestive enzymes, and many other causes. For moderate problems, homeopathy can offer a number of safe and gentle remedies. If discomfort is chronic and persistent or if symptoms are extreme, a doctor should be consulted.

Arsenicum album: This remedy may be indicated if a person feels anxious, restless yet exhausted, and is worse from the smell and sight of food. Burning pain is felt in the stomach and esophagus, which often is relieved by warmth and sitting up. Vomiting and diarrhea are possible. Upsets from spoiled food or from eating too much fruit often respond to this remedy.

Bryonia: When this remedy is indicated, the stomach feels heavy, with rising acid and a bitter or sour taste. Pain and nausea are worse from motion of any kind. The person may have a dry mouth and be thirsty for long drinks, which may increase discomfort. Bryonia is strongly suggested if a person is grumpy and wants to stay completely still and not be touched or talked to.Carbo vegetabilis: Sour belching bringing only small relief, burning pain in the stomach and abdomen, and flatulence after eating may be seen when this remedy is needed. The person feels cold and faint, with a strong desire for fresh or moving air. Digestion may be slow and incomplete, with nausea or cramping.
Colocynthis: Cutting, cramping pain in the stomach and abdomen, with relief from hard pressure or from doubling over, indicates a need for this remedy. A bitter taste in the mouth, a feeling that the intestines are about to burst, or a sensation that stones are grinding together in the abdomen may be present. Indigestion may be worse when the person feels upset, especially after suppressing anger.

Lycopodium: This remedy is indicated for many digestive troubles. The person’s appetite may be ravenous, but eating even a small amount can cause a feeling of fullness and bloating. Rumbling gas may form in the abdomen, pressing upward and making breathing difficult. The person often has a strong desire for sweets, is sleepy after meals, and feels worst in the late afternoon and evening.Natrum carbonicum: This remedy can be helpful to mild people who have trouble digesting and assimilating many foods and have to stay on restricted diets.

Indigestion, heartburn, and ulcers can occur if offending foods are eaten. Milk or dairy products can lead to flatulence or sputtery diarrhea that leaves an empty feeling in the stomach. Cravings for potatoes and sweets are common; also milk, but it makes these people sick, so they have usually learned to avoid it.
