Homeopathic Treatment For Asthma

Saturday, October 26th, 2013

Asthma (Az-muh) affects all age groups and walks of life. Some races may be predisposed as compared to others; however asthmatic patients happen to exist globally with an alarming increase each year.

This type of asthma usually starts in childhood and is often preceded by eczema. But most of the young adults (<35 yrs) developing asthma also fall in this category. Genetic factors also play a significant role i this. In this type of asthma the allergen leads to production of excessive (IgE) immunoglobulins.

Most asthmatics opt for the conventional line of treatment which includes bronchodilators and steroids. They work wonderfully in acute conditions and when immediate relief is expected. Though helpful, individuals overtime realize that they work only at the level of relieving symptoms and preventing them temporarily. They do not help the body improve its response to allergens (irritants) or simply fail to improve the faulty immune mechanism.

What According To You Is Homeopathy

Saturday, October 26th, 2013

Homeopathy is based on three central tenets, unchanged since their invention by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. Although homeopathic medicines are sold in health food stores and at high-end groceries, homeopathy is largely considered quackery. No scientific evidence supports its use; the theory of how homeopathy could work is beyond the realm of known physics; and governments worldwide are increasingly denying insurance payments to cover homeopathic treatment.

Homeopathy demonstrates that a substance that produces a certain set of symptoms in a healthy person can cure a sick person experiencing those same symptoms. For instance, onions make your eyes water when you cut them.

Supporters of homeopathy believe that although homeopathic solutions are highly diluted, they contain a “memory” of the substance in water. The body recognizes the substance and reacts to it. Studies have tried to determine whether effects from homeopathic treatments are placebo or whether some other action occurs. Although these studies could not identify how homeopathic solutions work, there was evidence that homeopathic dilutions differ from placebos.

Homeopathic Medicines For The Treatment Of Flu

Tuesday, October 15th, 2013

If you are looking for a safe and reliable treatment for the flu then perhaps homeopathy is for you. My own clinical experience of 20 years has repeatedly confirmed the safety and effectiveness of homeopathic treatment for the flu. Not to be confused with the term “holistic,” which means any approach to health that takes into account the whole person, “homeopathic” refers to a specific holistic medical therapy that involves matching the symptom profile of the sick person with the symptom profile of a corresponding homeopathic medicine.

Homeopathic Medicines For The Treatment Of Flu :

Apis mellifica: This remedy may be helpful if a person has dry fever that alternates with sweating, facial flushing, and a very sore throat with swollen tonsils. Pain may extend to the ears, and the eyelids may be swollen. Exposure to cool air and cold applications may bring relief. Despite the fever, thirst usually is low. The person can be very irritable, disliking interference.

Belladonna: Sudden, intense symptoms — including fever, red face, hot skin, and extreme sensitivity to light and jarring — suggest a need for this remedy. The person may have a very red sore throat, a pounding headache, a nagging cough, or other throbbing and inflammatory symptoms. Despite high fever, the person’s hands and feet may feel cold, or chills and heat may alternate.

Aconitum napellus: A flu that comes on suddenly and intensely—with fever, anxiety, constricted pupils, and strong thirst—is likely to respond to this remedy. The person may feel fearful or agitated, and the fever can alternate with chills. Symptoms are often worst around midnight. Exposure to cold wind or a shock of some kind often precedes the illness.

Arsenicum album: A person who needs this remedy during flu feels chilly and exhausted, along with an anxious restlessness. The person may be thirsty, but often only takes small sips. If the digestive system is involved, nausea with burning pain, or vomiting and acrid diarrhea may occur. If the flu is respiratory, a watery, runny nose with sneezing paroxysms and a dry or wheezing cough are often seen. The person’s head usually feels hot, while the rest of the body is chilly.

Pulsatilla- Homeopathic medicine for Young Girls Suffering from Acne Pulsatilla as a homeopathic remedy for acne happens to be my first choice for girls( especially young girls) with menstrual difficulties. Having scanty periods or delayed periods along with acne are a key indication for pulsatilla to be used as a homeopathic medicine for acne.

Girls who often find themselves flooded with acne just before the arrival of the monthly menstrual flow often respond very favorably to Pulsatilla . I would recommend Pulsatilla 30 c twice a day for a week as a starter.

Hepar sulpur – As a homeopathic medicine for Acne that are Pustular in Nature.

It is very effective in cases of acne that are pustular in nature. This means that acane that have white heads and contain pus points. Even large cystic acne respond very favourably to Hepar sulph. I have always used it very low in 6c potency and can be used 2-3 times a day.
