Homeopathic Medicine for High Blood

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Homeopathic medicine may lower blood pressure without as many side effects as prescription medications. Many types of homeopathic medicine for lowering high blood pressure include changing personal behaviors and maintaining those changes to be effective at lowering blood pressure to a healthy level. People who are considering using homeopathic medicine for lowering blood pressure should first talk to their doctors, since some methods may be contraindicated with other medical treatments or medications.

Function
The function of homeopathic medicine for high blood pressure is to avoid medications that may have serious side effects, to lessen the cost of prescription blood pressure drugs and to improve overall health.

Types
According to the Mayo Clinic, nutrition is the most effective homeopathic medicine for lowering high blood pressure when it includes a low-salt and low-fat diet, eliminating alcoholic and caffeinated beverages, and drinking at least 64 oz. of water daily.

Types
According to the Cleveland Clinic, alternative medicine for lowering high blood pressure such as practicing daily breathing techniques and acupuncture has been adapted for Western use from Eastern cultures (see Resources below).

Homeopathic Treatment of Diabetes

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

These principles are clear, practicable and satisfying. Man is a triune being, spiritual, mental, physical. All diseases, or disorders, partake of these three realms. Therefore, we treat the man, not his organs by themselves. We strive to learn the patient’s reactions to the disorder present, reactions in the spiritual, mental and physical spheres. We become acquainted with him and try to separate the abnormal or morbid in his case from that which is normal.

This means the gathering of symptoms, the arrangement of them for study into the three classes mentioned, making the spiritual the most important, the mental next and the physical last, also making the symptoms predicated of the patient as a whole far more important than those predicated of one part or only a few parts.

It means suiting a remedy to the patient, not to one of his parts, whether this remedy is well known for the disease in question or not. It means preparing the remedy to act on the plane of this particular patient’s disorder. It means watching the results of a prescription and judging therefrom whether or not a curative process is developing. It means choosing a better remedy or following along with the one first chosen and its complementary remedies.

The homeopathic physician, therefore, has no special treatment for diabetes. The diabetic patient is treated just as every other patient is treated. Like every other case, much depends on how far tissue change has taken place at the beginning of treatment, that is whether this has advanced far enough to render the patient incurable. Homeopathy can cure any curable case of diabetes and it has done wonderful things with diabetics who have been considered incurable by other methods. A so-called incurable may have to return for further treatment at intervals if sugar returns after freedom and good health. Advanced cases may never cease treatment altogether but may live as long as other people and die of something else. Or such a patient may be palliated wonderfully on the way to death.

In diabetics we are dealing with borderland cases, with what is called an ultimate in organic disorder. Homeopathy, used for chronic ills from early life, very rarely develops an ultimate. Its power in prevention is marvelous. But, mind you, I am talking about principles and their practice, not about the weaknesses of human nature and human endeavor in physicians as well as in patients.

You will want to know whether the strictly homeopathic physician uses insulin. I cannot answer for all of them. I know that some will not allow it, will take it away at the beginning of homeopathic treatment, regarding it as an element of interference. Since insulin is not really a drug, I think some permit its use. Of one thing I am sure. A patient accustomed to insulin in large doses over a long period is enabled to reduce that dosage soon after beginning treatment and may cut it down one-half or three-quarters or cut it out altogether. The pancreas, if not too far gone, comes back wonderfully toward normal functioning.

Here are a few cases to illustrate what I have been trying to say.

Homeopathic Remedies For Sinus Problems

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Homeopathic remedies are available to those who suffer from acute sinus problems. In recent surveys it has been proven that sinus problems are actually the most common form of illness within the United States today. There are about thirty three million citizens affected by it each year. It is caused by a reddened inflammation surrounding your sinus bones. This can also cause allergies. However, it is most commonly blamed for causing three types of sinus problems: acute, chronic and reoccurring.

Why Homeopathic Remedies Are Needed For Sinus Problems

Some sinus infections can be dangerous in that they are chronic and last up to twelve weeks. Others last for only four weeks. There are also reoccurring sinus infections that keep returning even after the conventional treatment has ended. This is where homeopathic remedies have proven themselves very successful in curing sinus problems. Homeopathic remedies for sinus problems include treatment through natural substances like plants and animal materials.

The Different Homeopathic Remedies For Sinus Problems

Each sinus treatment involves different techniques for treating this ailment. However, homeopathic remedies are generally dependent upon your physical condition as well as upon your disease. You should know that homeopathic remedies do better at curing acute sinus problems instead of chronic ones.

Homeopathic remedies for sinus problems involve treatment through homeopathic medicines. This means that instead of just treating the disease by itself, the whole person is actually being treated. Herein your resistance power is developed to ensure that a complete cure of your sinus problems takes place without any side effects.

Since most sinus problems are related to your ear, nose and throat, it is important to enhance your resistance power. This is where homeopathic healing works to prevent bacterium, allergies and infections. These homeopathic remedies are completely safe because they are naturally made by diluting substances. Some of the most popular homoeopathic remedies that are used for treating sinus problems include: Kali. Bichom, Hepar sulph, Merc sol, Kali carb, Gelsimium, Teucrium and Silicea 200C.

Vaccination - How to think about it.

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Always remember that some people will die from these natural cyclic epidemic diseases. But I think that in total the devastation our society is suffering from the use of vaccinations is far greater. The drug disease is killing and maiming hundreds of thousands if not millions every year. Much of autism, ADD and ADHD is from vaccines, as well as other diseases such as seizure disorder, the vast array of autoimmune diseases we are seeing today and likely gene mutations for which the consequences we have not yet seen.

For polio- since the only cases of polio in the US today are caused by the vaccine itself and since it is a known fact that the polio vaccine has carried the SV40 monkey virus I would not vaccinate my child against polio with a pharmaceutical vaccine. Today they say the SV40 virus has been eliminated from the vaccine. (they said that once before and continued to disttribute the contaminated vaccine) It took them many years to figure out this SV40 virus problem, It has caused thousands of cases of cancer and now some naturopathic doctors are stating that the SV40 viruse is cantageous and is spreading through the community at large. A homoepathic vaccine for polio would not be necessary since the disease is not around these days. If a polio epidemic should arrise I would give homeopathic prophylactic as listed below. Now I can only wonder what other contaminates, strange virus or god know what may be in the vaccine.

For Measles - measles is still around but not common. If I had a small child in general good health and I knew of someone with the measles I would send them to spend the night at that house allowing them to get the measles to produce a natural immunity. This should not be done with any immunocompromised child. You do not want a case of measles in your house if you have older children or adults that have received the pharmaceuitcal vaccine for measles. Since there is no way to know if the protective effects of that vaccine are working or not they will spend the rest of their lives in jeopardy to measles unless they receive boosters at least every 10 years or if they have a blood test called a titer that indicates that they are immune to measles. Measles is a very serious disease for older children and adults and you do not want them to get it.

If you or your family are at serious risk to measles, such as a pregnacy in the family, an immunocomprimised child, and there is an epidemic forming in your neighorhood take the remedy morbillium 30c on day one, 200c on day 2 and repeat weekly until the epidemic is past. Stay out of public places, including school. Some people are immune to measles. If you feel that your child should be vaccinated against measles demand a titer first. This will tell you where you stand regarding natural defense. If you decide to get the vaccine do not and I repeat DO NOT get the MMR trivalent vaccine. Take each vaccine separatedly with months passing in between or even a year. I know it is a lot more work but well worth not subjecting your child to the biological stress of this vaccine. Also, demand vaccines that have no heavy metals in them. You can insist on reading the bottle label or package insert. Ingredeints will be listed there.

Treating Abscess in Animals with Homeopathy

Monday, March 15th, 2010

This response is partially for Cat, in response to her comments about treating feline leukemia. I have also heard of other successful leukemia treatments with homeopathy on cats. Although I have not treated abscess wounds in dogs I have no reason to assume that the same treatment would not work as that I have outlined for cats.

I haven’t had a lot of experience in treating animals. In general my animals do well and don’t get sick much. But I have had difficulty with abscessing cat bites. My tomcat is a scrapper and over the years he has come home with significant wounds. This article will tell you how to treat them.

Although you will not need these for all cases keep them in stock as you will need it right when you need it!

My first case of treating abscess was with my tiger cat, Morris. He was a stray that came to live with us, mostly because my 7 year old son, to my dismay, kept bringing cats home.

One day he got closed in my bedroom. When I opened the door the smell in the room almost knocked me flat. It smelled like someone had been making Limburger cheese in there. And there was Morris, asleep on my bed. When I picked him up I found a huge draining abscess on the back of his neck, about the size of a large marble. When I squeezed it foul stuff came out and he screamed at me. Morris also seemed a little odd. Like he was just tired.

This abscess responded well to hepar Sulph. In less than 2 days the drainage was gone. The odor was gone even quicker. I gave him a dose of 200c two times a day. After about 5 days the abscess was fully healed. He did loose hair over the site but it grew back in due course.

Then my white cat Max got into a scrape. Max just disappeared for a while and we knew something was wrong. We found him hiding under the house and it was difficult to get him out. Once inside he peeled off to hide under the bed. When I finally got my hands on him I found a boil on his back that was large and shiny and blue to purple looking. With the hiding and the bluish abscess I gave Lachesis 200c probably a couple of times over a few days.

Homeopathic Remedies for Cough

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Coughing is the body’s way of removing irritating substances, excess secretions, and foreign objects from air passages. This is important, both as a protective mechanism and for the healing process—which is why a cough should not be artificially suppressed with drugs. When a cough is painful, too intense, or prevents good rest, the use of remedies can gently relieve discomfort and help with recovery. Coughing can accompany a wide variety of illnesses or conditions. If a person has serious difficulty breathing, coughs up blood or abnormal discharge, or seems very ill in other ways, professional help should be sought.

Aconitum napellus: This remedy is indicated when a cough has come on suddenly—often from exposure to cold wind, or after a traumatic experience. The cough is likely to be sharp, short, dry, and constant. It may begin during sleep and wake the person up, or can start when the person goes from a cool place into a warmer one. Restlessness and fear are typical when this remedy is needed. It is often used in early stages of croup and asthma.

Belladonna: A cough that comes on suddenly, often with the feeling of a speck or tickle in the throat, is a strong indication for this remedy. The cough is intense and nagging and the person may feel as if the head is about to burst. Sensations of heat, a reddened face, and dilated pupils are often seen when this remedy is needed.

Bryonia: This remedy is indicated when a cold goes into the chest and the cough is very painful and dry. The person feels worse from any movement, and may even need to hold his or her sides or press against the chest to keep it still. The cough can also make the head or stomach hurt, and digestion may be upset. The mouth can be dry and the person may be thirsty. If someone is very grumpy when ill and wants to be left alone, not talked to or disturbed, Bryonia is likely to be the remedy.

Treatment of Swine Flu

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

The protective ability of influenza vaccines depends primarily on the closeness of the match between the vaccine virus and the epidemic virus, so the presence of non reactive H3N2 SIV variants suggests that current commercial vaccines might not effectively protect pigs from infection with a majority of H3N2 viruses. The current vaccine against the seasonal influenza strain H1N1 is thought unlikely to provide protection. The director of CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases said that the United States’ cases were found to be made up of genetic elements from four different flu viruses—North American swine influenza, North American avian influenza, human influenza A virus subtype H1N1, and swine influenza virus typically found in Asia and Europe.

What You Can Do to Prevent H1N1 Influenza / Swine Flu?

There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.

* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
* Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
* Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
* Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
* If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

Above all. Don’t get stressed by the fear of getting the swine flu. Stress can undermine your immune system. The flu doesn’t kill everyone and in most cases may prove benign. Mild exercise, meditation or yoga and healthy nutritious diet can help keep your immune system in good condition and able to ward of any infections. Not every ‘infection’ becomes a full blown ‘disease’. Most infections are taken care of by your body even before you know that you were infected. Most infections affect gravely those people who are vitally deranged. So instead of panicking about the flu, stay calm and focus on becoming a healthy ‘you’.

Treating Atopic Eczema

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Atopic eczema is a form of skin condition which is a form of dermatitis. The difference with this form of eczema from dermatitis is that it is most likely caused by exposure of the individual to allergens. People who have atopic eczema may also have other allergies such as hay fever.

This skin condition usually manifests itself around the age of five years old and below. In many cases, the children will eventually not be affected by atopic eczema as they grow older but there are cases of adult having this skin condition as well. Experts believe that genes have something to do with the cause of this condition in people. Other factors to atopic eczema may be the climate, allergens, pollution and diet.

Symptoms of Atopic Eczema

The various symptom of atopic eczema may seem very trivial to some and very common but when put together; they will show signs of eczema. Some of these symptoms are perennially dry skin, red or inflamed creases and skin folds and junctions and having itchy, weepy skin.

Controlling Atopic Eczema

Treating this skin condition may involve several processes. These steps start with avoiding the irritants or allergens that may trigger the eczema. Atopic eczema may be genetically passed from one family member to another but it is an allergic reaction to something in the environment. These triggers need to be known by the individual so that he can avoid them.

Hypertensive Kidney Failure

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Blood pressure can cure kidney failure.blood pressure readings are measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and usually given as 2 numbers. For example, 140 over 90 (written as 140/90).

The top number is your systolic pressure, the pressure created when your heart beats. It is considered high if it is consistently over 140.

The bottom number is your diastolic pressure, the pressure inside blood vessels when the heart is at rest. It is considered high if it is consistently over 90.

Either or both of these numbers may be too high.

Pre-hypertension is when your systolic blood pressure is between 120 and 139 or your diastolic blood pressure is between 80 and 89 on multiple readings. If you have pre-hypertension, you are more likely to develop high blood pressure at some point.

Alternative Names
High blood pressure; HBP; Blood pressure - high cause hypertension

Causes, incidence, and risk factors
Blood pressure measurements are the result of the force of the blood produced by the heart and the size and condition of the arteries.

Many factors can affect blood pressure, including how much water and salt you have in your body, the condition of your kidneys, nervous system, or blood vessels, and the levels of different body hormones.

High blood pressure can affect all types of people. You have a higher risk of high blood pressure if you have a family history of the disease. High blood pressure is more common in African Americans than Caucasians.

Most of the time, no cause is identified. This is called essential hypertension.

High blood pressure that results from a specific condition, habit, or medication is called secondary hypertension. Too much salt in your diet can lead to high blood pressure. Secondary hypertension may also be due to:

* Adrenal gland tumor
* Kidney failure
* Alcohol poisoning * Renal artery stenosis
* Anxitety and stress * Renal vascular obstructions or narrowing
* Appetite suppressants * Migraine medicines
* Arteriosclerosis * Hemolytic-uremic syndrome
* Birth control pills Obesity
* Certain cold medicines Pain
* Coarctation of the aorta Periarteritis nodosa
* Cocaine use Radiation enteritis
* Cushing syndrome Renal artery stenosis
* Diabetes Retroperitonial fibrosis
* Kidney disease, including: Wilms’ tumor
* Glomerulonephrities Pregnancy
* Inflammation of kidneys) (called gestational hypertension)

Symptoms
Most of the time, there are no symptoms. Symptoms that may occur include:

* Confusion Vision changes
* Chest pain Tiredness
* Ear noise or buzzing Nosebleed
* Irregular heartbeat

If you have a severe headache or any of the symptoms above, see your doctor right away. This may be a signs of a complication or dangerously high blood pressure called malignant hypertension.

Signs and tests
Your health care provider will perform a physicalexam and check your blood pressure. If the measurement is high, your doctor may think you have hypertension. The measurements need to be repeated over time, so that the diagnosis can be confirmed.

If you monitor your blood pressure at home, you may be asked the following questions:

* What was your most recent blood pressure reading?
* What was the previous blood pressure reading?
* What is the average systolic (top number) and diastolic (bottom number)?
* Has your blood pressure increased recently?

Other tests may be done to look for blood in urine or heart failure. Your doctor will look for signs of complications to your heart, kidneys, eyes, and other organs in your body.

These tests may include:
* Echocardiogram
* Urinalysis
* X-ray of kidney

Treatment :
* Complications Heart attack
* Aortic dissection Hypertensive heart disease
* Blood vessel damage Brain damage Stroke
* Congestive heart failure Vision loss
* Kidney Damage Calling your health care provider
* Kidney failure

If you have high blood pressure, you will have regularly scheduled appointments with your doctor.

Even if you have not been diagnosed with high blood pressure, it is important to have your blood pressure checked during your yearly check-up, especially if someone in your family has or had high blood pressure.

Call your health care provider right away if home monitoring shows that your blood pressure remains high or you have any of the following symptoms:

* Chest pain Severe headache
* Confusion Shortness of breath
* Excessive tiredness Significant sweating * Nausea and vomiting * Vision changes

Prevention
Lifestyle changes may help control your blood pressure:

* Lose weight if you are overweight. Excess weight adds to strain on the heart. In some cases, weight loss may be the only treatment needed.
* Exercise regularly.
* Eat a healthy diet. Eat less fat and sodium. Salt, MSG, and baking soda all contain sodium. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and fiber.
* Avoid smoking.
* If you have diabetes, keep your blood sugar under control.
* Follow your health care provider’s recommendations to modify, treat, or control possible causes of secondary hypertension.
