Eggs are made up of about 60% egg white and 35% egg yolk. The egg white appears to be slightly more allergenic than the egg yolk. Over 50% of the egg white is composed of protein ovalbumin. The rest is made up from ovotransferrin, ovomucoid, ovomucin, and lysozyme. Other minor proteins include ovoflavoprotein, ovodin, ovomacroglobulin and cystine.

Egg allergies may trigger symptoms quickly, including hives, asthma, watery eyes, swelling, and nausea sea shortly after the egg is consumed. Alternately, a delayed sensitivity with symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, or constipation, can develop hours after the food is consumed.

As far as therapeutic medication is concerned, several remedies are available to treat egg allergy that can be selected on the basis of cause, sensations and modalities of the complaints.  For individualized remedy selection and treatment, the patient should consult a qualified homeopathic doctor in person. There are following remedies which are helpful in the treatment of egg allergy:

Colchicum, Pulsatilla, Sulphur, Calcaria Carb, Anthracinum, Calcaria Flour, Chininum Ars, Cocculus Indica, Ferrum Met, Ledum Pal, Merc Cor, Bryonia, Carbo Veg and many other medicines.

Egg allergies may trigger symptoms quickly, including hives, asthma, watery eyes, swelling, and nausea sea shortly after the egg is consumed.
