Insomnia or Sleeplessness: Difficulty in sleeping or inability to fall asleep or to remain asleep long enough to feel rested, especially when this is a problem that continues over time.

Short-term insomnia lasts for 1-3 weeks, Chronic Insomnia- Insomnia is considered to be chronic if it occurs on most nights and lasts a month or more. Chronic insomnia continues for more than 3 weeks.
