One of the problems we have as a
government is our inability to keep secrets. And it costs
us, in terms of our relationship with other governments, in
terms of the willingness of other intelligence services to
work with us, in terms of revealing sources and methods. And
all of those elements enter into some of these leaks.
The kind of commitment I find among the best
performers across virtually every field is a single-minded
passion for what they do, an unwavering desire for
excellence in the way they think and the way they work.
Genuine confidence is what launches you out of bed in the
morning, and through your day with a spring in your step.
The corporation is the “master”, the employee is
the “servant”. Because the corporation owns the means of
production without which the employee could not make a
living, the employee needs the corporation more than vice
Executives owe it to the organization and to
their fellow workers not to tolerate nonperforming

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having
abundance in your life.
The three great essentials to achieve anything
worth while are, first, hard work; second,
stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.
Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.

has done all of his or her homework.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it

Don't waste life in doubts and fears; spend
yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right

preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Idleness warps the mind.
A customer is the most important visitor on our
premises, he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on
him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the
purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is
part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He
is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.
I'm serious when I do my work. I'm not serious
when I'm home with my kids.
Having kids has been a fantastic thing for me.
It's meant that I'm a little more balanced. In my twenties I
worked massively, hardly took vacation at all. Now, I, with
the help of my wife, I'm always making sure I've got a good
balance of how I spend my time.
Do what you love. When you love your work, you
become the best worker in the world.
