Malpooda 

 

 

Ingredients: 
200 grams Wheat flour 
50 grams Maida 
6 nos. Peppercorns 
2 tablespoons Cardamom powder 
1 cup Milk 
1/2 cup Curds 
1/2 teaspoon Aniseed 
200 grams Powdered sugar 
Ghee (as per requirement) 

Method :
Crush the peppercorns and cardamoms. Mix together maida, wheat flour, milk, curds and sugar. Add little water at a time and stir continuously to make a thick smooth batter. Set aside for 10-15 minutes. 

Add pepper, cardamoms, aniseed and mix. 

Heat ghee in frying pan and drop a big spoonful of batter into the ghee. Fry both sides of the pancake til golden brown. Repeat the process till the batter has been used up. 

Place on paper towels to absorb excess ghee, before serving. (Serves : 10)
