Moong Dal Halwa (Seera) 

150 grams Moong dal 
150 grams Sugar 
2 tsps Cardamom powder 
150 grams Ghee 
150 grams Khoya 
5-7 nos. Chopped almonds 

Method :
Wash and soak the moong dal for two hours. Remove it from water and grind it coarsely using minimum water. 

Add ghee in a pan and heat it. Add the ground dal. Roast it on a low flame using a flat spoon till it turns golden brown. Stir continuously as the mixture tends to stick to the bottom of the pan. It will take about twenty minutes to roast the ground dal. Add the grated Khoya, stir for five minutes and then add the sugar. Mix thoroughly for few minutes till the sugar dissolves completely. 

Sprinkle cardamom powder and chopped almonds. (Serves : 6-7)
