basmati rice 1/2 cup(s) ghee 1 teaspoon(s) milk 6 1/4 cup(s) green pistachios, thinly sliced 1/4 cup(s) almonds, thinly sliced 1/3 cup(s) saffron strands 3 sugar 10 Tblspoon(s)
1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes. 2. Melt ghee in pan, add rice and fry until it is clear. 3. Add milk to rice and simmer until liquid has been reduced by half. 4. Add sugar and cook until dissolved. Add the nuts and simmer for a few minutes. Check for sweetness. 5. Remove from heat and garnish with saffron. Serve warm or cold.
